Oh noes. :( Dog urine is nasty. My bare patches on my existing lawn can attest to that. I have a friend helping me build a shelf system this afternoon, my little girl is way to small to urinate on the trees but she likes to ahh, chew

I removed an old man banksia from a clay riverbank many moons ago and it didn't transplant too well. If only I knew then.. what I know now.

90% sure Mr. BD. A Lilly Pilly next to it has suffered a similar fate and when I pulled them both from their pots there was a strong stench reminiscent of doggie wee wee.

Please persevere with the Banksia. As you can see the Banksia was the most popular (and possibly numerous) at the AABC convention show.

Once you work them out they will reward you many times over.

I want to know when you chopped it back, did you leave any foliage on it at all, or chop it back to a bare stump? I am still learning what I can do that with and what I can't.

Banksia will shoot back from bare wood easily
I had one and I did several chops on it and left no foliage. Shot back profusely

That was till I lost it last year to fungus
