I read somewhere the Jill Seymour has Satsuki/Kurume in its parentage, hence the striped flowers and the one I have sometimes rarely gets completely red flowers. Do you know is this is so?

Thanks Harry, I have actually cut off and am propagating the red branch as I would like it as a separate form or a multi coloured shrub.harry wrote:Yes this does happen on them you have to cut the red ones of or it will revert to the originalHackimoto wrote:I read somewhere the Jill Seymour has Satsuki/Kurume in its parentage, hence the striped flowers and the one I have sometimes rarely gets completely red flowers. Ok... This is the first time I have posted a pic of one of my trees. I am new and very green to the world of Bonsai.
More flowers to come but I love this little one!

Thanks Bebbas, Beautiful colour. Do you have a name? Looks like Little Red Riding Hood or Red Robin or maybe Scarlet Gem?
By the way, nice outlook you have there, almost looks like you live on a boat.

Thanks Hacki,
No,I don't have a name but yes, it could be any of the ones you mentioned. The little darlin looks better by the day so I will update evryone with another pic.
Thanks for the mention of the outlook. Yes I am that close to the water I might as well be on a boat!
