I read somewhere the Jill Seymour has Satsuki/Kurume in its parentage, hence the striped flowers and the one I have sometimes rarely gets completely red flowers. Do you know is this is so?

Yes this does happen on them you have to cut the red ones of or it will revert to the original

Thanks Harry, I have actually cut off and am propagating the red branch as I would like it as a separate form or a multi coloured shrub. :fc:

Ok... This is the first time I have posted a pic of one of my trees. I am new and very green to the world of Bonsai.
More flowers to come but I love this little one!

Thanks Bebbas, Beautiful colour. Do you have a name? Looks like Little Red Riding Hood or Red Robin or maybe Scarlet Gem?
By the way, nice outlook you have there, almost looks like you live on a boat. :tu:

No,I don't have a name but yes, it could be any of the ones you mentioned. The little darlin looks better by the day so I will update evryone with another pic.
Thanks for the mention of the outlook. Yes I am that close to the water I might as well be on a boat! :D
