Hi Grant,

Good choice! We often style a tree with the lowest branch. It's a great way to create a new taper and a nice small bonsai. I would love to see how this tree develops.

Hi all,

The tree survived its big chop and is healthy. The remaining branches are awful so I will probably eliminate all but the lowest right hand branch eventually and start from there.

It will need more time of course but it is a start.
