thanks guys and Michael did defoliate once in the 6 weeks don't want to do it again as im giving it back in 10ish days it has been soaked in seasol solution and was both liquid and slow release ferted in its time in the other pot. I see so much potential in it and no what i would do with it as well but cant. I think i have the owner convinced to put it in sun on his balcony adn i have also put slow release fert in so it wont starve.
cheers J

Got it back for another holiday have given it pretty much the same treatment as before has been kept on a balcony since last trip when i first got it i could count the healthy young roots on one hand by the time i gave it its re pot into original pot it had the start of more. this time nearly a year later i was really happy to see what i found. I havent got Photos to post at the moment but will get to it. It is still leggy as its not mine i just revive it.... Last time i got away with cutting it back a bit and i think if i cna get it back buddin again i will again. Im also doing some wiring very basic to help give it some more shape.

SO far so good Phoenix cutting back slowly but surely and getting back budding hope to actually help them grow a decent amount of little branches and a canopy.
