It isn't much help with ID but I was looking at the location of the nodules & how it related to the canopy, now following my train, figs are pollinated by wasps, is it possible that this is the only one of this type of fig living in a great range & therefore the entire population of pollinators has to live on just one tree hence so many fruit & bumps... just expressing an observation aloud...
Definitely has potential if you can propagate it, have you tried fermenting fruit then sowing the seed?
