Large fig defoliated ready for wiring

The first styling and wiring of this tree took me 16 hours, it has taken 4 hours to remove all the wire and 1 1/2 hours to defoliated

Can you tell us a bit of its history, or have any earlier development shots?

It was so Hot today I could not get my head around spending several hours wiring the big fig so I spent two redoing the smaller Willow leaf fig which was given to me for my 40th Birthday

Beautiful tree and great Job Nathan.
Looks fantastic.
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

I have finished the work on another tree over the last couple of nights slowly getting my collection back on track, setting up Brisbane Bonsai has been quite time consuming, not to mention renovating a house, having a 2 year old, and a 4week old as well as a full time job, most of the time I am working with my headlight torch on, in my bonsai shed down the back durning the evenings, but it is pleasing to see the trees starting to come back into shape

This Juniper when purchased had a totally different look it was pretty much an informal upright, the whole planting angle has been changed and when purchased all of the Jinned branches were living.
I loved the branch that has broken away and really wanted to make a feature out of it, I have just finished a rewire and restyle of this tree, as well a a clean up of the dead wood and a coat of lime sulphur, a couple of coats of wood hardener on the dead wood and it will be right to grow on and fill out

It will be interesting to see it when the pads have filled out
