Hi Jarrod.
At the moment, my computer is working and I've just checked in and seen your post. I have a couple of ideas for pots for you.
This one, but in reverse might be allright but I think the pattern would be too busy. I'll find another one today with a more subtle texture and take a couple of photos and if the computer is still working, post it for you.
Penny. I've just found another two that might be suitable - the one on the left and the one on the right. Size doesn't matter, I can make whatever size you want.

I wasn't going to consider a free form pot but I think these are very nice. Heres a test. Thank you very much.

Well, that doesn't work - it's too busy. The round shape might be better too. I have a couple of other photos but I can't upload them I keep getting the message that the image is invalid. Steven, can you help please?

I think the "or this" one is great, is it a round pot?(looks like an oval) and what is the size? I think this tree needs a standard style pot rather then a freeform, though they are great. I'm sure i will have other trees that will need one soon.

Either that or the Erin pot, but I think that Penny might be on the money (pardon the pun) with the "or this" simple unglazed oval. Nice work with the tree so far, but I'm not convinced that the side you are showing us is the front...

Its funny that you say that this isn't the front. Personally I prefer this as the front however you can just about spin the tree in any direction and get a good looking tree. The direct opposite of this "front" is also a very legitimate front.

Here is a rough virt of the tree in that pot. Looks ok. Whats your opinions? I really think it needs a round pot so i can spin it around as i wish..

The drum gets my vote Jarrod. Not sure if the colour is quiet right but the style suits perfectly.

The pot. For this tree is getting fired as we speak, hope to be in a pot next weekend. It's growing strongly.

So you'll have it in it's new home for the show then? I know my Squamata has been growing again for a while now is yours in a fairly shallow pot already, or will it need a lot of root work to fit?

Nice trunk on it,but shame on the foliage. have you thought about grafting shimpaku on to the tree?

It should fit the pot i organized for it. But if i cant get it in with out taking to much off, i will delay the potting till next year.

Haven't considered putting shimp foliage on, Asus, i actually like the rough squat foliage for this tree. Makes it look rougher and more in line with the age depicted in the trunk. Thanks for the thought though.
