I certainly agree that atlantic is nicer than deodar but I think each has its place, for those who wish to develop something quickly deodar is a great learning option.
Deodar is inclined to look a bit fluffy, but we still need to pinch the atlantic cedars.

I do not wish to "hijack" this thread but those growing deodars should not be discouraged

Some great examples.... Thank you! clearly just because a species has its difficulties doesn't mean it shouldn't be used..

Hi Alias , mate not out to discourage anyone , never have done , just suggest they are better as singles rather then groups :yes: . If you pulled your group apart and give them some time to develop , no doubt you could put it back together in say 3-5 years time but you will need a 900mm tray to put them in . Nice Gerard , now would you have made a group with Deodora ?. Thanks for posting .
