Take the advice of the guy from Sydney whose humidity's and temperatures are totally different to Melbournes bitter Winters.

I have tried leaving a layer over Winter and froze the roots killing off the top of the tree. If you are going to have a go i suggest protecting the layer with hessian or other over Winter.

I'll wait bodhi I need to make sure this survives. The top section has a great sweeping motion and I want to use it as a decidouse Bunjin. Cheers
