Thanks Ray,Sorry for the late reply,been making a few more,yes it does make wiring a lot easier and organised,everybody should make themselves one.
I am going to put the other two wire sizes on today to complete it.

Hi Paul, do you find the wire gets scuffed, scratched or dented from the holes it is dragged through? I see the benefit of always being able to find the end of the wire quickly, but wonder if comes at a trade off. I'm drawing up plans to make my own in case I don't win the comp. Cheers Shane

Hi Shane,thanks for your question,I haven`t noticed a problem with damage to the wire,it all depends on the position of the hole in relation to where it comes off the reel, try to position it so there is not too much of an angle,if you are worried about it drill the holes on an angle so you get an even flow and not too small with the hole,in the one in the comp I have inserted little brass bushes that are 8mm in diameter so it should not be a problem,I have only gone to 4mm wire as I found 5mm a bit difficult to pull thru and with my little trees I don`t often use it anyway.
Be positive young man,you are going to win the comp.
PS. I don`t know whether a little scuffing would be a major issue anyway,as being outside for a few months the wire soon looses it new look,and I never display trees with wire on anyway.
