ya man,

i had a look at it on the net and its the same thing, dont know why it is not mention that often on gardening site,may b a new product. seems to have various properties. one question tough, do you crush it before then sieve it coz mine is rounded pellet about 10 mm in size.

If using Perlite, I would mix 50% organic and 50% Perlite.

Nope - I just buy a smaller pellet size. Mine is about 3mm to 8mm in size. If I'm feeling dedicated I sieve out the smaller pellets and use them on smaller trees. I keep the big pellets for da beeeeg trees. Only disadvantage of Leca is that it is very light, so you may need to wire your trees into the pots to stop them from blowing out in string winds. I'm thinking of mixing it 50/50 with stone chip to lighten the mix but keep some weight for stability.
