Now that this one has has a positive ID and I have researched the species I'm ready to start styling.

Here is how it was looking yesterday:

Apparently Viburnum back shoot reasonably well and can handle repotting after flowering. It was starting to show signs of leaf burst already so last night I repotted into a Mudlark pot. I'm confident that it will be okay in this smaller pot as I water regularly and I'm only after fine growth (ramification). I also rotated the front about 15°, removed the old apex, cut off some unwanted branches and shortened everything else back. I'll now wait to see what Spring brings and hopefully get shoots in the right places :fc: The apex will be cut back a bit further but I'll wait to let the delicate buds there grow a bit first.

Once it has settled into the pot I'll carve out the deadwood and treat it with Earls.

What do you think? Would you have done anything different?
