I recently took all the wire off except for a few guy wires and this is how it looks today.
Still need to develop some foliage pads and work on a few jins, but overall I am happy with the progress.
As usual, I would appreciate your comments and suggestions for the future of this tree. It currently stands about 650 mm tall.
PS - thank you Alpine, it is in fact a Picea Glauca.

I really like it Watto looking very healthy

I have never attempted to style a Picea before so feel free to ignore me. I find the downward growing lowest right branch distracting to the eye. It really stands out and draws my attention away from all the positives. In saying that I prefer the silhouette with the lower foliage in place, maybe if you could place a bit of foliage in front of the downward branch to remove it from sight? Food for thought, still a great tree Watto.

Cheers,
Pearcy.

Thanks for the feedback Pearcy, and I think you are right. I the next wiring which will be later this year, I will rectify that issue.

Would you consider bringing down the second third and fourth foliage ends on the right? As Pearcy said the lowest right mass looks a bit lost, but I think it is because the others on that side go upwards.

It's graceful tree, and getting better.

Thanks for posting,

Gavin

Nice progression watto. I've never had much luck with these. The next wiring will bring out the true beauty of this tree. At 650mm is quite impressive. Well done.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
Gavin and Andrew are probably right and I do need to wire again and bring those right side branches down more. Its been fun so stay tuned for the next installment, hopefully before another year passes.
