how are you planning on taking so many trees back?

With tears in my eyes....the transport alone will kill me....I have permits for importing the trees if that's what you mean .
Just hope they will arrive safe.

For those that are impatient for me to post when I reach home, you can have a look at a new variety black pine with short needles that does not need candle removal.... And a lots more pictures.

I have another question. What if I graft white pine on tropical variety of pine that grows well in Zambia. Will that make any difference?
Has anyone tried that? What do you think? Can it work?

I have styled lots of trees while here at school, but thought I should show you this tree, I am really proud of.
It took me two days to style it. Oyakata said you did this???? I said yes. Then he asked if Taige helped me....Taige was 6 years with Kimura and is his son. I said no...I did it all by myself. He said:
This is perfect! Then he told me I am a sansai now and that I should teach Mark how to style like that...so now I am called sansai by Mark, and Neli San....he he he! I came here a total newbie....and I had never seen how to style junipers....now I have impressed my oyakata 4 times....and got the thumbs up.
I am one happy bonsai mama!

This is how I styled the pads. They now need to grow and just be pinched, but the tree is styled now.

It is not that hard to style junipers ones you understand it...and see how it is done. I went swimming today, and yesterday deleted by accident all my pictures for the past two days. I was downloading the pictures from the camera to the iPad, and my book fell on the iPad....not sure what it pressed but no pictures in the camera or iPad. So I started taking new pictures again of my work. I will not have many before pictures. From the past two days.
My fingers are scratched and rough and sore...from all the wiring. I am not used to wire from morning to evening every day...and copper wire is hard. So I was given a off day today.

I suppose you must now appreciate the amount of work involved to detail wire a tree to bring out the best in it.

Woudl love to be able to experience first hand what you are doing

Ken,
The truth is that I am getting very tired ....the whole day on that chair...in the most uncomfortable position...then come home and sleep on a slab of concrete....my back is killing me...my fingers are sore...my legs can't even carry me up the hill in the evening...so I just end up drugging my bike along...it is so hard...
