Psymo said paste my url in my Quote. I couldn't find ""quote in the profile panel so I improvised. It seems to work so thanks.

Since I began this thread I've been to Takamatsu and captured some wonderful Japanese content.

The first episodes in the month of October (I'm renaming the month Bonctober) will be from this inspiring community.

I'm up to my neck in this project and loving it.
Cheers

Cheers Lindsay :D

I was wondering also, are the episodes on the site in full, or are they teasers?
I really do wish they'd hurry up and grow.

Series 2 of WorldOfBonsai will be created differently than series 1.
For series 2 there will be a distinct web version. I would not consider it a teaser. There will be over 2 hours of authentic content.
Then as a totally different and more detailed edit the DVD will be of 3 or 4 discs and about 8 hours long. This will be tailored towards the serious artist.
I'm still shooting the disc version so there is no release deadline at present so it mat be socks and undies for this birthday Bretts

Ah Bugger Lindsay I thought the realese was even before the web version :|
I plan to have the 3 DVD set of he complete saries available prior to the online release of the 10X10 minute web episodes.

Lindsay
Sounds worth waiting for though the first episode was great I figured it was less than $36 for that last big pine at the Auction. Sheesh that would have to be worth at least a few grand here :)

Hey Lindsay just checked out episode 3 and it was worth the wait ;)

Just as I was thinking that you where getting real good at these compilations I was dumb struck by the multitude of amazing trees you had captured on film. It is humbling when amazing trees become mundane  You need a gold star for the progression in your production, not that I thought the others where bad but it is obvious that you have given thought to suggestions put to you, great work Mate.

There are a number of quotes and thoughts that I am sure I will come back to in the future. The favourite forest of the feature [apprentice]? was most interesting only after viewing and hearing the reasons did I start to understand why he liked this setting so much. Seeing the guys set up the display was great. The kotobuki description was most interesting as I recently bought one not knowing exactly what it was to use in the Literati contest. I had a feeling it was a short needle black pine.

The one I have does not seem to be grafted on preliminary check. Is this strain/sport usually grown on it's own roots?

Thanks for your kind words Bretts. Yes, I looked at the last series and asked myself "how can I make the next series more useful to the users"
The wonderful feedback that comes from around the globe indicates that it is working. It's fantastic to know that the series is enabling a fast track bonsai evolution in emerging cultures such as Eastern Europe.
Yes, I was charmed by Yoichi's choice of favorite bonsai.
In a world of bonsai bogens competing for the biggest trunk it was delightful to experience his self effacement and poetic simplicity.
Kotobuki can be cutting grown but in my experience require that the cuttings be taken from juvenile plants. ( ideally 2 or 3YO)
Thanks for your interest.
Cheers

Hi Lindsay,

I'm currently still only part way through World of Bonsai series 1, but loving it so far!

I was wondering if you'd considered distributing World of Bonsai on iTunes? Even just the free components as a video podcast or something... could be a good way to get additional exposure? I only thought of it because I was thinking I wish I could download and watch the videos directly to my iPhone/iPod.

Something to consider anyway, if you hadn't already :)

That's an idea Japh. Several others have made the same suggestion. It's just a matter of finding the time I suppose. We have recently had our millionth download from the site and looking forward to our second million. This is a good way of acheiving the goal.

Thanks for your support Aaron. I just got a translation of a Keiji Kandaka sequence from Webos and it's delightful.
It will be online as soon as Jason finishes his bit's.
I think that this series will meet the needs of the users better than series 1 did.
It's not that I'm attempting to top myself but that I know the community better now and can address their needs better.
