anty Sharp Scissors will do the job, so long as they cut cleanly.

With a Juniper, do work on either the roots or upper foliage in any 6 months or so. I would do as much as you want to the upper part a once. Trim, and Wire to get into the shape you want it, then let it rest.

yesterday I went and bought some wire and a pair of sharp scissors and pretty well just went for it, with a simple understanding of bonsai aesthetics. I think I messed up one or two places, (not sure if branch second from top should face more forwards, also top left branch is actually two branches) and Im thinking ill need to get some more experience wiring, but heres a photo of my juniper basking in the spring sun

also, after getting a taste for this, im really quite interested. theres an old Bouganvillea shrub in a pot out the back, im thinking about potting that while its just still dormant and then doing something with it next year perhaps. ill probably upload photos and start another post!

You have a decent start there. WIth wiring try to keep it as neat as possible and not to let wires cross. That is very much what my first wiring job looked like but with a bit of practice you get better quickly. As you get more length in the branches you could add a bit of movement too them too.
