Looks like a a very nice show.
Is it compulsory to have a Japanese maple in Canberra? I notice there are heads of them in the gallery

Hi everyone,

I found the white pine to my liking, but if I was to have my way with it, it would probbably wind up one of two ways......probbably the latter !!

regards,

Paul

Thanks for the pics Neville, it looks like it was a great show, unfortunately I had to miss it!

There are 10+ trees that I have not seen in the show before so it is good to see that the trees are being rotated by members each year.

How was the Saturday night demo, any pics?

How was the JBP project received? Were there many participants?

Paul, I like the white pine but maybe your first chop. I think wiring could help the pad definition and overall shape rather than chopping.

I just checked the Canberra Bonsai Society website Scott, 45 entries for the Scott's Japanese Black Pine growing project. That makes 90 seedlings going out to members to develop quality JBP bonsai for the future. Nice idea Scott ;)
