Poor things coped some leaf burn, I've put it under shade cloth for the rest of the summer and the new leaves are fine. Was just wondering if I should do anything about my burnt leaves? Are they going to affect my trunks growth?

Hi, just remember Seasol is not a fertiliser, and so you are not feeding with it as such. Try powerfeed, made by the same crowd that make seasol.

It doesn't look bad, the shade will help and keep the seasol and fert up to encourage healthy growth of new foliage.

I have a Japanese maple that has had its leaves burned almost completely and it simply put out a new set to replace them. It did this 3 times this year!! (This is not something we want to let happen and it only happened with me because I have no shadehouse in my new home haha).

Just keep an eye on the heat as maples burn quickly during hot windy days or days with high sun/UV ratings.

Note your maple is young and as such should bounce back quicksmart.
