Would do it for free for him if he wanted, and for any other aussie bonsai place that needed a hand in the online side of things

Static sites simply don't work for people with very little knowledge on websites.
Have to agree with bonborn here. Also thought I would add that if somebody does want to use a cms it is incredibly easy to get your head around. I went from scratch a few years ago and made my own site very easily. You can see it here if you are into parrots
http://www.thewittyparrot.com
But again as Bonborn said it probably is not a priority in this situation.

I think its really under utilised in the bonsai world, and think a good website is a huge assest to any business. Granted, it requires time that could be better spent with bonsai, but as Bonborn said, a simple wordpress site is very easy to use and keep updated. Even a facebook page would be a simple solution.
It was something that I noticed as I was collating the info for the directory. I guess it all comes down to the owner, and what they want their business to be
(not refferring to Ray's directly here, just a general comment

)
I'm always willing to help, as I just want to see bonsai in australia grow, and I enjoy web design for the most part

I have those skills but i don't think he will be interested. I think he's business is more word of mouth and him selling at shows etc rather then advertising through his website. Well said.

Gosh I remember Internet Explorer. People used to use that in the old days.
Thanks Steven.

ditto
...
When I first tried to find bonsai nurseries, I went to the yellow pages.... back in 1997. That was when I stumbled across the Koreshoff nursery, and Ray Nesci's nursery. The Koreshoff's private collection blew me away, but their nursery sale stock was terrible. Ray's sale stock was very impressive, and to this day I have always traveled to and from his nursery more so than anyone else. In fact, I was just there yesterday, and picked up a few pots and $12 starters.
Don't forget Bonsai Art at Terry Hills. Their bonsai soil mix is the best available. I use it for all my stock, and it is simply THE BEST. It will not promote mould or root rot like a lot of the other soil mixes from bonsai nurseries do.

There is another nursery which is close to Ray Nesci run by a relative of his i believe. Has anyone ever been there ?
I believe there is some "he doesn't refer me so i don't refer him" happening between them two.
