Like the set up, just wondering how the frames are going in the weather, is there any rust? I like the black finish but wasnt sure if it would start to delaminate and rust.... tossing up between this and the galvanised finish

Fantastic idea! I'm putting one of these straight on the project list.

Hi Mat, No visible rust yet! They might over time - probably at the feet, but so far the only component that's shown any signs of rust is where debris has gathered an sat in the galvanised run-off trays.

Give the uprights a spray of fish oil on the inside and around the feet Ryan. That'll help to hold off the rust for a bit longer. I figure the powder coat would be on the outside visible parts only.
I'm just using wire mesh bed bases sitting on top of cheap table frames. Had them over a year now and no signs of any rust issues. Total cost per stand $15. Figure I can replace them every year or two at that price.
Josh.

Thanks...good to know the frames are holding up. When I get around to making the bench I'll put a pic up. Could be a while..still have to clear the yard, weed, get some trees removed, bamboo to take out... List goes on and on. Ah the joys of a new place.[SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND COLD SWEAT]
