There's a fair few (hundreds if not thousands) of seedlings that sprouted this year.

I wonder if these would survive in some moist tissue while being transported back to my place before being potted up.

Just a note, this plant is considered an environmental weed basically anywhere outside it's native area. So try not to spread it. :D

Having taken one seedling home, I think i've realised why! These things smell SO BAD!

If anything though mate I'm reducing numbers haha just doing my civic duty ;).

Are you planning to grow it from seed? Maybe you can find something more rewarding for bonsai? It reminds me of my wattle...same leaves...very long internodes...and it will have to be a huge bonsai to look like anything.....but very fast growing.

I probably could find many plants that are more rewarding bonsai, just ask the rest of my collection ;). What attracts me to this species is that it seems to grow super fast and doesn't seem to have been utilised in Bonsai before. Also, the flowers are pretty.
