sorry to drag up an older post but man.. that is some crazy s#%&.

do you think doing this sort of thing with young saplings like that to transfer nutrients would help in trunk thickening???
even tho deciduos trees can grow rather quickly over a few years in the ground, it has just spun my inquizitive mind into all sorts lol
