I also went crazy and planned out 1500 of them and tried to sell some that were 2-3 years old for $8 with no luck.
I just called up a bonsai nursery and said are you interested in a trade/sell and sold 550 of them at a much lower price but ended up getting some nice stock and some cash too
It gives me a bit more room to plant up new ones and other types of trees.

When I had my Nursery, 3" pots went out at $2.75 for everything. If it was wired or had any training at all the price was $4.75 - $5.75 depending on how good it was. Once it went up into a 4" pot the price pretty well doubled. 6" potted stock went for around $9.00 as it always had some measure of training by that stage. I used to sell tube stock PJF for $1.25/$1.50.
Mind you I sold the Nursery 13 years ago, so prices have changed somewhat since then.

I sold a dozen or so to a mate from the club. However I was unable to make it to the club show due to conflicting commitments so I still have a bunch available. Some have had "dibs" put on them from a couple of club members though.
