If you can't bend it, then bring a bit of foiliage down in front of it to obscure it a little bit
If you can't fix it, hide it

Just an update. Been a while so gave it a trim. Needs some more growth on the left side but getting there.

Great tree in such a short time. Are you considering softening the edges of the pads as part of ongoing maintenance?
