Thought i should update as my Hawthorn is flowering this year and is starting to look better. Not all the buds are open yet so maybe in a week i will get a better pic. Lots more to do as with all of my trees.

I am very fond of Hawthorn and I think you have done a good job with this. The flowering, because it all over the tree, is very impressive so whatever you are doing is the correct course of action and you should continue with it. And of course we would appreciate it if you would post another pic when it is in full flower.

Ok so this is probably the best it will look for the year. Although there are still flower buds to open some of the older flowers are already dieing off. Very happy with the length of flowering on this tree. Over a month all up of floweres :-)

Looks great Sammy!
Constructive tip.. Try to take photos a little more side on.
Check out the angles on the "good" shots you like and copy that :)

Thank you for the progression, much appreciated.
I can understand why you took the photos from that angle as it shows the flowers to their best effect, but the comments of Boics are worthy of your consideration.
Please continue to develop this bonsai.

Thanks for posting this progression thread and keeping it updated!
As I'm a complete beginner, it's very interesting to see how someone develops their tree over time.
