For all those kind people who had a look at and commented, thanks. And I am pleased to announce that I have finally made a decision in regard to the one with the red fruit, and it got the CHOP. It actually got the chop last year and here is the result. I think in another year or so it will be a much improved bonsai, and shohin to boot.

Heaps more character and in that pot looks great . Now for some fruit with that blue pot it will really pop ,hopefully next year . Very nice .

I'm still undecided on the apex, but the leaf size doesn't bother me anymore. A bit of "fruit/flower" fertilizer before winter and cross my fingers for a few flowers and then a few fruit. If it looks good I'll post another photo, but if there are no flowers there will be no photos - its a pride thing.
