Not "Raff Out Roud"...?
Ya, gotta luv Aussie humour...a little madness keeps us sane.
Nice movement in the tree, too.

No Pearcy, it is a natural rock but rather than a jagged mountain rock I've used a slightly rounded one to try to give the impression of a tree on a lakeshore or riverbank where conditions are less severe than in the high mountains. The tree will be fuller and more rounded I hope.
I think that the tee/rock will be exposed more as it reaches the final stages of development. As in it will end up sitting higher out of the soil in its final pot...
That will expose both a lot more
There's not much more to expose on this one. The pot is 30 cm diameter so the rock is actually about 5cm above soil level already.
Could you tell me how long it took to get to this stage? I have got some ROR trees I have been growing and developing for the past 2 years now.
I don't keep very good records Jay so can't be positive. I don't remember this one being in the grow beds so it has probably been grown in a pot all its life. Initially it had 2 trunks, both with good line and taper which put me in a dilemma about which to choose but then 1 died suddenly and saved me the problem. My best guess at age would be around 6 years including year 1 before it was put on the rock.
Nice movement in the tree, too.
That's what prompted me to select this one for further development Jan. I think the movement of the trunk works well with rock, visible roots and now the branches. Should be quite good in time.
