Re: Winter 2015
Typical jerk move by another Australian Native tree dropping branches... At least it wasn't on your house!

I don't trust Bonsai, they are a little shady.

Re: Winter 2015
Even a cheap pot is a loss . Must have been bad , the worst I got was a pine blown off the bench .
Cheers

Tree pruning a tree, now I have seen everything
It's a impressive table to stand up to a bartering. I'm glad nothing else was in the way.

Patience is often a surprise.

Re: Winter 2015
Hi Jarad . When you see the winds we get here it amazes me more trees aren't flying around . Most of the buildings here have ' scars' from past winters .
Hi Graham . I hope the pine is ok . The tree that got hit was that magnolia with the funny looking knee root . The root is still there for now . I think I will remove it tomorrow because I have to put the tree into a smaller pot . I don't have any pots the same size as the broken one . The tree is in my shed tonight because I didn't have time to do any thing with it today .
Hi Time8theuniverse . A lot of my trees are styled by my enviroment
living in a forest in the snowy mountains is definitely not benign.

Re: Winter 2015
so can you say your bonsai has natural damage/future deadwood?
Hi Jason . Yes , I am starting to get quite a few trees that have a history developing
. I have a plan to ultimately build a bunker type glass house . At the moment my set up is a all over the place . A bit like the weather .

At least when they're spread out, you're less likely to lose the lot in one go
this hobby is hard enough at times without nature throwing her 2c in
