Certainly haven't killed it :tu: Got buds popping all over the place at the moment. I'll chuck chuck up a photo some time soon.

I think I might try to encourage some aerial roots come spring time and get them to fuse to the trunk. To give it a little more character in the coming years.

Thanks for sending me this way!

Thread is good to read through and help me save/grow my bunnings Ficus which looks like a Frankenstein of 3 trees grafted together.

No worries mate.

Yeah, yours is a grafted "budda belly" fig.

I left the leader to grow too long, so now this little guy will become bigger than previously planned. Here are some photos a couple of weeks after I gave him a trim:

::EDIT::
I couldn't find the little green pot for scale, so I had to use the little blue one which is about the same size.

Awesome thread mate

I.have a couple of strangler figs and a small port Jackson I'm thinking of planting in the ground for a season. Have you considered that for this one?

Cheers mate.

This little guys future is a shohin so he can't get too out of control.

The won't be getting much bigger than he is now, so I have just started working on the branches.

It's an orchid pot, there's a thread in here with a link to an online shop.

He's only been in that one for 6 months or so.

Gave him another trim 10 days later, here is the result:
FR01 - 2017-01-28 - Front.jpg
FR01 - 2017-01-28 - Back Right.jpg
FR01 - 2017-01-28 - Back Left.jpg
He has popped buds everywhere again, so I will have so thin him down to the ones I want. Given a little time those large scars should heal over.

Hey Anthony,

The little guy just won't stop growing, I think he needs to move to a smaller pot to get things under control. When I think about it, I should have done it sooner.

The work I'm planning to do now is just bud selection.
