Thanks for all the ideas. Recovery/survival is definitely the current plan. All I've done so far is remove a lot of the dead and dying foliage and remove some minor branches which were crossing over other branches.

I think this will definitely need a good bit of deadwood. I like the literati idea but I think the main branch is too large to move much and comes off the main truck at essentially a right angle. The other virt looks good too and worth thinking about.
