The large branch on one side looks like it died back, bat the other side has new growth and flower buds starting to open :-)
the dead side will prvide a carving option though

I will get some photos this week if I can

I'd like to know how its going too. I have a large crab apple in my backyard that I intend to layer this year. Would love to see how this one is doing.

Hmm Cannot remember :palm: :lol:
I think I still do as I have a smaller Crab and cannot remeber if it is this one or another cutting

Found the tree, or what is left of it and took a photo for you.
the bottom branch died and the stump has rotted out but slowly building a small tree out of the rest of it.

Nice! I'm waiting for mine to leave out or flower it both then time to cut the cord!
