All my Potensai are my projects... Nothing yet bonsai worthy a few getting close. Root over ornamental garden turtle is one of my personal favourites. With the news of the heat that was coming I did up a "MUD" mix of worm compost and coir to recover the roots and water to help stop dome of the "Ariel" roots drying out. As its a busy few days for me. Its nothing special to look at but its seed grown same age as my son(4) and he is my turtle....

Looking good kez. The juniper should be interesting.
I checked the root graft from the start of this thread today. It's healing well and should be done by the end of the season.

I took the pins out that were holding it in because the main trunk had grown around the whip securing it.

Next up for this tree is grafting a new leader low down so I can cut it down into a chunky shohin. I'll have to wait for the shoots to extend a little more before they will reach the graft location though.

If only the leaves would stay small as when spring growth starts.
