Yours are as good if not better in some cases than mine. Also 23 is the cut of for Shohin.
You have a collection to be very proud of mate. Thank you for showing us.

I don't usually worry about this stuff but since it was fresh in my mind I thought I would put this up.
What exactly is shohin bonsai? Shohin is a size classification of trees between 2" and 8" in height. Sometimes this requirement is extended for trees up to 10", but this is up the discretion of the judges.
That Makes it 51mm -203mm but some times upto 254mm if the judges allow

Maybe Australia has a different clasification?

Brett in the official photographic album of the Shohin exhibition of Japan --31. Run by the Shohin Association. There are a number of trees at 24cm or 9/-1/2 inches.According to the Nippon Bonsai Association. Size classification are.
Shito- 3-6cm Mame under 7cm Mini 7-10 cm Shohin 10-25cms.
This is where it gets confusing-Gafu 13--30cm Kifu 25--35cm
Chuhin 30 -- 60 cm Dai over 60cm Omono 60-- 90cm.
There are some in the official photo book of tree's of 30cm.In some cases it is the pot that determins it. On page 174 there is even a picture of a Leptospermum scoparium X (pink cascade)
I wish I could read Japanese then I could tell you which one it is as well as the official name.
In Morten Albeks book ,Majesty in Miniature
Shohin Bonsai a western perspective. He says depending on who you talk to.
Shohin size is 25cm 10inches max min 10cm 4inches.
They are the references I use Brett. If you look in Bonsai Today nomber's 45and 46 you will see a gallery of the 50 best shohin. These tree's are from Japan.
There is one there in 45 page 10 tree number 16 which is a Pinus thunbergiana Sunsho JBP at 30 inches 76cm in a pot of 15cm 6inches. One of the top 50 shohin confusing EH!

confusing EH!

Yep That is why I generally say I will leave that for the judges whenever I show a tree at a prestigous event
I had seen from the sidelines the discussions on what size was the standard was and never worried much but thought this looked kinda official. Guess I will forget about it again.

Great shohin Noah, I've been at it for 37 years and I still don't have many as good as these.
Congratulations and hope to see more of your trees in the future.
