The serissa looks like it has been under watered. When you water them, you need to make sure the water is soaking the soil, misting the leaves won't really do anything.

Check out the wiki for more info.

+1 for Bonsai Northside. They have a good range of stock to choose from and really willing to help. Their personal collection are really good for inspiration too.

Cheers,

It won't hurt to take the plants with you. I'm sure if it's at all possible you'll get an answer on them, plus invaluable hands-on advice for the future :)

Thanks Andrew I've had a good read of your beginners guide, I thought there would be something of the sort but wanted an experienced opinion. In my case I believe I was worried about overwatering so much that I have mistakinely under watered them :(. I have soaked them as recommended but I'm not holding much hope. I will be going to a bonsai nursery in the future. Thank you.

Jfish89 wrote:They are both outside and recieve morning and mid day sun. I give them a light mist every 2nd day and a soak once a week if the soil seems dry. They may have been over watered three days ago as it rained overnight and although they are undercover it may have blown in.
Nothing like enough water. On he Sunshine Coast, you should be soaking the pot every day year round and 2 times in the warmer 6 months.

Pleasure bud. Fingers crossed for your trees, but you know what, we all kill 'em from time to time. Bonsai is such a rich and complex art form. It can be daunting at first, but one thing I can say is that you appear keen and dedicated, so you'll get there and I am sure you will be having fun soon! :fc:
