It is a Metrosideros tormentosa,( Pohutukawa,New Zealand Christmas tree) very salt tolerant has red bottle brush type flowers. This one is a hybrid tree from the green leaved one.

Thank you Pup. I doubt thats what I have as I'm in Canberra. I've done some research and I'm pretty sure mines a variegated Pittosporum.
