Thanks Waltron, It is nice when my tree is overlooked, lol
I do like the pot but have had great difficulty finding a tree which is not overpowered by it. The very coarse texture of the pot tends to draw attention away from the tree. After trying a couple of others I decided the seiju elm with its heavily fissured bark was the only tree in my collection which stood a chance.

Thanks for the hard work of posting this up Gerard :tu: i know this would have taken you quite a few reds to do  As ever, a great show and great trees, some well known and some not so well known. Thanks BSV for keeping the public a little surprised, must be the presidential influence

Thanks Gerard for putting this together, I love these threads!

Very hard to pick a favourite without seeing them in person and many stand out to me, 75 and 67 I really do like.

70 and 71 were superb and the Mirror Bush, 72, was imposing as it greeted you on the way in.

My favorite was the #52 dawn redwood. What a beauty! Makes me want to work on a redwood of my own... does anyone know where in Victoria could I get my hands on a redwood starter/nursery stock?

I'm with you! The Redwood was magnificent. It looked very powerful.I think there were some for sale on the day but they went quick. The species has an interesting history.
