I've seen honeycomb rock done the same which also looks great. Do you mind me asking what tool you use the grind them out?
I have thought of doing the same and was going to get hold of a small diamond cutting disk for a 4" grinder..
Heres a link to the original post

I use a 9" grinder with diamond blade, 4" grinder with diamond blade, cold chisel, hammer and masonry drill bits when I'm carving rocks.
I live in Karingal so not to far from you (depending where on the Peninsular your are) more than happy to help out show you what I do any time.
Just a side note, Burdetts on McClelland drive have large bluestone slabs probably 2 foot across cut to 1" thick. Would look great on your monkey poles. Think they were around $55-$60.

Thanks for the link Josh...great original post. What did you end up planting in there and have you done the "mountain" yet?
I met a fella in Tas who makes faux rock out of foam who is working on something for me - sort of mountain rockscape like. He reckons it's almost ready so should see it soon.
I have some native Beech Myrtle's, young one's that may go in it depending on how it all looks.
I'm not far from you, Whistlestop so around the corner really.. Should catch up for a show and tell..and beer..!!
cheers, Rob..

I do like this Josh... no 4" grinder used here obviously.? A diamond tipped die grinder bit would do the job. Not sure if there is such a thing.
ps; I sent you a PM...
