The lighter leaves as has been said already is just new growth, and you could find 50 thrips or more curled up inside a single leaf. Nothing to worry about mate. get rid of the affected leaves and apply liberally with confidor or something similar till runoff, spraying the underside of leaves also. I get them every year around this time on at least a few of my trees, I do have about 10 benjis though which they love.
