that mel. quinquenervia you said. thats the one. leaves and bark are exactly like that.
done a google search

bit of a memory lapse. i do have a couple like this but a lot of them the foliage is different. more like claret tops, which isnt a prob because leaf size is small aswell

how are they like for backbudding?
i really havent had much to any with aus natives like this hey

and the other thing... my blasted camera has decided to pack it in on me, i think its the batteries, so i might have to send the missus into town to get some good ones!
