Re: Australian Natives Breaking Through The Bonsai Ceiling 2019
I an not one of the organisers but have attended many conventions and will take part in almost everything this time. (Can't wait)
Friday: Bus tours available for all registrants (must be booked)
Ryan Neil masterclass (participants only at Ryans request)
Friday evening: Welcome reception, meet and greet, early access to the exhibition. open to all registrants (must be booked)
Saturday: Convention begins presentations, demonstrations, food etc. open to all registrants
Saturday evening: Dinner / awards / auctions (must be booked)
Sunday: Convention continues. presentations, demonstrations, food etc. open to all registrants
Monday: Another Ryan Neil masterclass (participants only at Ryans request)
Hugh Grant will run morning and afternoon workshops (Silent observers can book)
At past conventions international demonstrators have done workshops on the Monday with observers, Ryan experienced this in Canberra and was surprised at the audience size. He wants to concentrate on the participants when he does workshops.
You can be assured that Ryan will be front and centre for much of the day Saturday and Sunday

Based on the comments earlier in the thread it looks like the masterclasses are booked out but there are scheduled demonstrations for convention members during the weekend where you should be able to see Ryan.Leigh Taafe wrote:Hi

Re: Australian Natives Breaking Through The Bonsai Ceiling 2019
All workshops on Friday and Monday with Ryan were sold long ago.
Monday afternoon has only two spots left for participants in workshops with Hugh. Observers may still book to watch Hugh on Monday am and pm.

Re: Australian Natives Breaking Through The Bonsai Ceiling 2019
Only 8 weeks to go! (bookings close sooner)
For those who have not booked and who are keen to see live presentations by Ryan NeilGET IN NOW!
You can book Friday bus trips, Friday night welcome reception,
all day Saturday, all day Sunday or both. Morning tea, Lunch and afternoon tea. (provided for those attending)
If you do not attend the conference you can still visit the exhibition and sales areas 9-5 on the weekend.
Some wonderful Australian native trees will be on display. The selection process is underway, I know they have had difficulty reducing the list of trees to a manageable number (I expect perhaps 80 trees will fit into the display area.
This will be a great opportunity to meet and greet other Ausbonsai members. I hope you say hello to me!
Personally I will attend-
-Friday night welcome
-Saturday and Sunday presentations
-Saturday Night Dinner
-Monday (Private) workshop with Ryan

Re: Australian Natives Breaking Through The Bonsai Ceiling 2019
Last week for bookings (closes May 1st)
See Ryan Neil presentations in Melbourne
Book for Saturday or Sunday
AABC Convention was also in Melbourne last year but the next one in Melbourne is not likely for another 5-10 years. If you have never attended an AABC convention, do yourself a favour.
If you live locally it may be your last chance to attend a convention without accommodation expenses
If you love Australian Natives, this event will be the biggest ever!

Yep, I’m in for all day Saturday - filled out the form today after some
negotiation to change a family event. Will transfer funds tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

I am really looking forward to this now I’ve (finally) made the commitment. I’m a great procrastinator ...
It will be excellent to learn stuff and put some faces to names. Good times.
