Selecting the front and having a rough idea of design/direction, a little tidying up? Anyone have some suggestions?
I'm in the same boat, except I'm booked in with Kunio Kobayashi - never done one of these 'all star' workshops before either.

I don't even have a tree yet, so you're one up on me.

Must admit, it was a bit spur of the moment after Leigh posted that tix were running out and am now wondering if he'll be sitting on the plane home on Tuesday laughing (hopefully quietly to himself) about this moronic Aussie with no idea

Here is an update for those following......

Ryan has 2 spots left on Friday, 1 left on Sunday.
Kobayashi has 1 spot left on Sunday.

Cheers
Leigh

Hi Leigh,
To bring a tree from Brisbane is just too much trouble, so it looks like being an observer is for me.
Is it possible to know how many Observer Passes are being offered.
Thanks
Marie

Hi Marie

There will be a maximum of 30 passes per session (ie. an AM or PM session).
These passes will allow for viewing either workshop and being able to move freely between them.
The workshop locations are separated by a nice walk around the amphitheatre at the Arboretum.

Cheers

Hi Everyone

Last night the final spot for a Kobayashi workshop had been filled.

Ryan has 2 spots available. 1 on the Friday and the other on the Sunday.
If you are keen, you had better be quick, as I do not see them lasting very long at all.

Cheers
Leigh

Hi Everyone

Due to the overwhelming response from the bonsai community, we have secured the artists for another day and are delighted to offer a new exclusive masterclass opportunity.

An exclusive one day workshop for just ten participants to work alongside both Kunio Kobayashi and Ryan Neil is now available. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on two trees with two of the world's best bonsai masters. This intimate workshop comprises of a morning and afternoon session with both masters. You will work with one master and one tree for three hours in a group of 5, then switch and work with your second tree with the other master in the afternoon, again in a group of 5. No observer passes will be offered for this exclusive workshop to allow for an uninterrupted flow.

A light working lunch will be provided giving you the opportunity to relax and swap notes with sweeping views across Canberra.

Under expert guidance, your bonsai style and tree development will be changed forever! At the end of the day, enjoy a local beer, house wine or juice and reflect upon the transformation and journey of bonsai.

Participants must provide all trees, materials and tools.

Make no mistake, this workshop will sell out. Book now to secure your spot!

Leigh, are there any rules or restrictions on photography and/or filming at the demo or workshop?

Do I need to bring my own turntable to the workshop or are they supplied?
Thanks in advance
