I'm in for Myrtleford 2020 if the dates work. That's a dirty six. Can't compete with AA and Shibui but a beginner/intermediate table may have some trees. I'll have to remember to pack some lights!

This is the second time I am trying to say something adequate on this thread. First time I just couldn't find the right words. Like everybody posting here has already said, Myrtleford 2019 is an impressive exhibit, all the more since it is the result of the bonsai skill and artistry of only two people. What I mainly thought about, however, was about people in the bonsai-outposts of Australia and New Zealand, and I wondered how many of them would be able to produce a show like Myrtleford 2019. I can only think that it would be very, very few.
Maybe, seeing what knowledge, art, time and perseverance can produce, other bonsai-ists in similar situations will feel encouraged and keep going.

Hi guys been MIA for so long its getting very quiet out here . The issues of getting old and not slowing down have major drawbacks .

This effort has been the only one to do with bonsai for almost 12 months , most were only trimmed up for this occasion . Got feed up with material laying around here so I took a couple of tandem loads to the tip just to lighten the burden {no to make room for more } .

I have reduced the grow beds down from from 10 to 3 small sections only .and taken up collecting Motorbikes which dont need the daily care of Bonsai . Need a bigger shed to store and display them but that too is out of the question .

Appreciate all the feedback and support and well done from Shibui for his marathon efforts .

Thanks for the update Alpine. Nice to hear from you, hopefully your health issues are becoming more manageable and you can get back into bonsai, perhaps on a slightly reduced level of craziness! Sounds like you’ve come full circle on the motorbike journey. I hope they bring you many hours of pleasure/satisfaction restoring them. Good luck with it all, always happy to read an update/post or two from you on this forum so don’t be a stranger!

Hi Ryceman3 , its all good even if I dont get to ride them I have a 6'4" crash test dummy called Noah although I have ridden them , old habits die hard and today I break I don't bounce anymore so that's a deterrent

Hi Shibui the cascade creeper in the display is a Virginia Creeper , Five leafed Ivy . It was picked up in a storm a few days ago and smashed another natures trim , the pot didn't bounce too well either .

Virginia creeper sounds right for those leaves. Should give great autumn colour.
