well, i walked past this one this arvo and seen it and thought wow, how much has it grown, it is looking super healthy and full

very please with its progress, the gaps are starting to fill with struck cuttings and generally thickening of the trunks, they are sending out shoots low which are finding there way through the trunk and filling in gaps to, i havent taken a pic of that though as there isnt much to see but a mass entaglement of trunks and shoots.

Hi Jamie
I have a large donor fig the same as this growing in a pot. I use it for air layers and have made about 10 trees from it so far. What kind of fig is it ? I have another that has similar bark, but has darker leaves that are a little bit smaller. Haven't loaded photos before, and would have to get some decent ones as well. Can you help ?
thanks
Tony

yes mate

this is a ficus benjimina, as far as i know it is the standard variety, i would presume the one you have with the darker leaves would be midnight beauty. just a cultivar of F.Benj. i havent tried to many cultivars of it, but i think i have a cultivar exotica varigated, it does not like to back bud at all, so i have resorted to grafting, which seems to be taking well
