I think they will charge me extra to have a barrier between me und the tree in case I start sprinkling lime sulfur around the place.

If we get to repot it later this year I will let everyone know and sell tickets. I could even auction off spots for helpers!

Thanks very much for sharing the trimming and budding with us Grant! It sure is an Aussie Bonsai icon.

While I was away for a few HOT days in December, one of my E. scoparia suffered the wrath of my wifes watering (or lack there of). I had totally defoliated it about 8 weeks prior and the fresh leaves burnt to a crisp. Not a green leaf to be seen. 3 weeks or so later and it is flush with new growth over every branch and twig. Much like you see the Euc's after a bush fire. Goes to show that they can handle our harsh conditions. Just one of the reasons why I love our native Flora.

Hi Steven,

Both you and Pup have shown , with the accidental dry outs, how tough some of the aussie natives can be!
We lightly trimmed and rubbed some buds off yesterday as in some places there are up to 10 or 15 closely spaced buds.
Still about two weeks away and I will get a studio shot of it.
