Thanks Andrew & Roger.
So far its showing no ill effects from the carving work even where I did miss the mark & separate the cambium at one spot i want to keep alive. When its put on some more growth & everything is ok I will do some more work on the carving. Another year in this pot & it might be ready for its Mudlark one.
Edit:- Forgot to add dimensions, 21cm high 28cm wide 26cm deep and the trunk is 3cm dia at the first branch.

I noticed today that extensive sections of the trunk had diedback so decided to have a good look & clean it up. I really didnt like the thin live vein that was feeding the apex so off it came, the deadwood will need a bit of carving down the line but for now its back to the bench.
