For now the tree will be left alone but keeping a close eye on growth which is slowing down now anyway.
I don't have plans to repot at this stage, although I am keen to however in the short time that I've been doing bonsai I have killed too many due to being impatient. Am not gonna rush with this one as I would like to keep this for longer than just a memory.
The tree is still in its early stage and will need at least more season to develop. The main challenge with the tree being so small is the detailing in the branches and developing sub branches within the main branches and the apex. I don't want to just pinch the foliage so that it looks like a topiary in the end. I love looking at very old bonsai's and in particular JBP from underneath as if to look up the tree from the ground and see how amazing the sub/branches develop over time. That's what I am hoping to acheive here. It will be difficult but I think very achievable.

I'd like to say thanks to Creeping Dragon for enhancing the image with a black background. I have downloaded GIMP program as you recomended in another thread, but need to learn how to use it properly. I hope you don't mind but I kept a copy for my records. That was great. Thank you.

Thanks for commenting. Would you mind posting a photo of the pot. Am not sure what to put it in yet but I've got time to think about it.

Also for those who are really good at doing virtuals, if you have time perhaps do one with the tree potted. Just to get some ideas.

cheers mario i like the root spread on this one to, my only thought regarding that is that it stretches a fair way out. if that could be brought in just a smidge i think it would be spot on.

as for a pot im not quite sure i can do a few for you if you want maybe a round?
