to right mate shohin size trees can be very rewarding i am cautious on privet although i like them i dont have any as i dont want to get attached to a tree that will succumb to a root fungus that slowly kills them, whether that is present just in queensland i am not sure, i know brian inglis had some excellent privet that died due to this and i am pretty sure that it happened to the lot of his

I did here about that happening and I hope it dosnt happen down here But i havnt heard of anyone around the central coast having that problem. I just like them because they grow fast and ramify well with small leaves. I think my mini died because it was in such a small pot and was in the sun too long and just dropped it i suppose, gotta watch the sun on them as they dry out really quick.

What is banyan style exactly?

banyan style is a low spreading wide tree, it generally has airial roots coming from trunk and low hanging branches. there are a few realy good ones on here, shannons one of the best. if you search it out you will see what i mean. if you cant let me know and i will find it!

thanks luke that does mean a lot to me muchly appreciate, i have to get another pic of these two, one has been potted up and is pushing now growth, the semi is still in its nursery can but is pushing strong growth too
