G,day again guys I am sure Joel is right. According to my book this is a quote of the description.
Callistemon salignus, willowy referring to the habit.
Quote description A small tree to 10 m with more or less pendulous branches and papery ,peeling bark. The narrow- elliptical leaves are soft textured, 6-9 cm long by 5-14 mm wide. the young growth is bright pink. The flower spikes are normally creamy-white to yellow but a number of pink forms are in cultivation ( refer to page 111) . The spikes are about 5 cm long by 3 cm diameter and are seen in late spring and sometimes autumn. The capsules are about 5mm in diameter. End quote.
This doe s fit in with the pictures that you have put up Waltron, so give the man a cigar.
