The larger Ash from Don D is now 75cm tall including the pot.

The smaller Ash From Janet is 60cm tall including the pot and sitting on a rock of course. She purchased this tree apon the birth of her daughter over 40 years ago so we are very proud to have it here at the collection. Janet was the prime originator with Ash bonsai in SA and Australia for that matter and showed us mant techniques for growing and fattening Ash. She gave a talk in 1999 at the Adelaide convention and That was where I collected the seed that my own Ash grew from.

Well Grant I can say that after seeing your Ash on Ausbonsai it got me fascinated with the species and now I love them and am starting to use them! So if it wasn't for Janet I wouldn't have come across them...thanks and well done to her for the vision of using this species for bonsai :hooray: ...funny how things happen, and thanks to Ausbonsai for providing the venue to fascilitate this for me and others!
Cheers, Dario.
